  • 7 tips for running a recruitment software business

    There is a lot of competition in the Market place and we like competition.Clients who can make informed decisions about your business, stay with your business.

    We want to compete on a level playing field so to my competitors here are a few tips.

    1) Be transparent at the beginning - don't promise the earth for one price and then add loads of extras so the client can't use the product without buying these bolt-ons. Let the extras be optional!!

    2) Be transparent about the end, don't sneak in nasty exit fees that tarnish the reputation industry. If you are going to charge anything, let the client know about it upfront.

    3) Invest in a reliable hosting infrastructure, don't wing it on 1 or 2 cheap servers, you won't survive if they fail, more importantly, nor will your clients.

    4) Invest in knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff, not everyone is a techie, make sure you have a good bedside manner, the goal is to educate your clients in plain English and not baffle them with jargon. We are sure that you find it frustrating when people talk over your head.

    5) Be transparent about support, If you offer telephone support, don't make it expensive to call by using an 0844 number. Make sure people can contact you easily.

    6) Invest in your clients - they do recruitment every day and have a good knowledge of what a system needs. Their success is your success.

    7) Enjoy competing and strive to be the best in the Market.
