Our client is looking to appoint a Director of Business Development for their Air & Engineering business based in Derbyshire. The client is the leading engineering support services company.
Knowledge and Experience:
A proven track record of winning new business in the engineering sector and extensive experience of air and aviation operations in the military. A clear understanding of the air environment with an appreciation for the ministry of defence procedures and challenges. A detailed understanding of how engineering supports the delivery of mission critical air operations. Project Director Experience of major bids in the government domain and management experience of a large business development pipeline.

Ability to take a strategic view on the business Ability to operate across the strategic and tactical spectrum, whilst maintaining core business goals. Ability to take own initiative, to organise and prioritise actions. Ability to lead customer focused team. Ability to lead sales and results orientated team.
Accountabilities:
Formulate the Air & Engineering business development strategy and pipeline. Direction of all Air & Engineering projects, including successful completion of all bidding activities. Prepare annual budgets and resource plans for the function, reflecting each division’s priorities. Senior relationship owner for the customer network, at all levels. Own, manage and drive forward relevant business development projects to achieve key milestones.
