Qualifications and Experience
The more responsibility that is involved in agriculture jobs the more qualified candidates will have to be. There are certain roles that do not require academic training, because they are taught on site and over many years of acquiring practical knowledge. Other qualifications include:
-Passion for farming;
-Ability to work in a team;
-Impeccable communication skills;
-Numerical and mathematical skills;
-Plant and animal knowledge.
A Bachelor of Science Degree or Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture is required to become an agriculturist. If you prefer the functions and duties that are carried out by an agriculture engineer, then a B. Sc. Degree in Engineering or Agricultural Engineering is necessary. As a foreman you can get training on site or by doing a diploma course in Agriculture or Animal Science.
