Qualifications and Experience
In many instances someone that is interested in charity & voluntary jobs does not have to have any specific training or previous experience to undertake certain roles. This will depend on the role in question and the level of responsibility that is involved. Duties that can be taught on site do not necessarily require a degree except from GCSE qualifications and the ability to write and speak in flawless English. Some other requirements include:
-Excellent people skills;
-Excellent communication skills;
-Excellent planning skills;
-Willingness to travel;
-Ability to deal with harsh conditions;
-Diplomacy;
-Numerical skills.
Depending on the area you are interested in working a degree will be necessary in management or social administration, finance, business studies or social work.
