Qualifications and Experience
Estate agency jobs are not easy and it may take months for a new agent to make the first sale or purchase. This is generally due to the fact that a high degree of trust and a proven track record are generally needed to convince buyers and sellers to leave their transactions in the hands of a particular agent. Most estate agents in the UK are not graduates which means that this profession is open to people that do not have university level education; however, due to the increase in competition the best way to distinguish skills is by having an outstanding academic background that demonstrates knowledge in: estate management, construction, surveying, business & administration, etc. Other required skills include:

-Ability to sell persuasively;
-In-depth knowledge about the real estate industry in particular areas in UK.
Special requirements:
To gain more clients in the industry, real estate agents should obtain a license with the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA). They should also ensure they are part of a redress scheme.
